Inglewood

"Beware Housing commisson flats"

We lived on Crawford road closer to the Walter Ed end by the state housing flats. Car broken into twice. Washing stolen from back yard. Worst place I ever lived. Glad to be out of the suburb.

I've lived at this end of Walter Road for 5 years and I've never had an issue with the housing flats

Mirrabooka

"Hidden gem"

Rented for a long time in Inglewood and brought in Mirrabooka in 2012 as it was affordable with large blocks and close to the CBD only 11km. I feel we are quite lucky we live in a double ended culdersac, near Boyare Primary school. We have bore reticulation which has been tested and we could drink it it’s that clean and clear no heavy iron in the water. We get cable Foxtel and underground powerlines. Our neighbours all except us and one other are all retirees. It takes 30 min to get to the city in the morning down Alexander drive. When there is a game on at the new stadium they have a bus service to and from mirrabooka bus station I can be home from the game 40mins after the end of a game. It’s fantastic. Local Honeywell shops can be a bit confronting but hands down there is the best Bahn mi rolls in Perth for $4 from the Vietnamese couple next to chicken treat. We have a great park down the road with playground and 1/2 basketball court. They only negative is that in summer everyone let’s there lawn go brown and there is a lack of effort to do the lawns and gardens. People aren’t so house proud. There can be the odd dogey person but unlike Inglewood I’ve never had my car broken into. We are lucky where we live I guess. Feel like it has potential and good value for money ,to invest or first home owner buyers.
