Greenbank

"A home amongst the gumtrees!!!"

If you love the beauty of nature, watching the birds nest in the 200 year old gum trees, watch the wallabys hop through the bush, love not having your neighbours in your pocket but not far enough to not know them...then come to Greenbank.

Sooo close to all the major roads...Logan Motorway..Gateway and only approx 20-30 k's from the city and about 50k's to the Gold Coast. Perfect position. Springfield is being built now with Orion Shopping centre to be the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere. Park Ridge now also has a bus station in progress.

Don't go to suburbia and pay huge dollars for small amounts of land...come to Greenbank you'll love it. I have for the past 10 years and wouldn't move from Elizabeth Park. Great for the kids and the pets with a fantastic outdoors lifestyle. No obese lazy kids here they all play outside.

45ks from the city is a more precise figure!!

Well no not from where I live in Greenbank....New Beith, Teviot and Spring Mountain all try to claim the umbrella of Greenbank....and from my house to the city its 28k's.....precisely!!!!

Yes Spring Mountain is a long way out......I chose Elizabeth Park as it is still close to most things. I had a friend at Spring Mountain and her house was 20k's from my place and thats why it shouldn't come under the umbrella of 'Greenbank' cos its not.....nice place but a lot further out. I wouldn't care if I lived further away....I chose to live here for the peace and quiet and the space. Greenbank is a great suburb....all of it!!!!

Some times I hate the drive home, but when I drive down Spring Mountain Drive, I don't regret it one bit after 6 years. I love the tranquility and the peaceful weekends. One way in and one way out... Elizabeth Park is nice also.

Yes Touche to that......I have been the city girl and wouldn't swap it for the world. My girls are "Free range" not "Battery"

Princeton Park has all the advantages of "Acreage Living" as well as the convenience of still being close to the city, especiall now there is a City Express Bus. I travel to Brisbane city in no time on the Express Bus to work every day & have a profound feeling of tranquility as I come home to our Princeton Park home. Princeton Park is a newer area near Elizabeth Park

Greenbank is such a large area I feel it should be divided into seperate subdivisions the way Brown's Plains has been.....what are your thoughta??

It has been split. Elizabeth Park, Princeton Park, New Beith, Spring Mountain, Teviot Downs. The big mistake is that it is always just referred to as 'Greenbank" and as far out as Thompson Road is still Greenbank. The original Greenbank. Boronia Heights used to be Greenbank aswell before they made it into a horrible housing estate. Given why those poor people at Flagstone are in for a surprise when all the suburban houses start going in there. We need more transport though and after 13 years of living here and now with teenagers, I am forever taxing them back n forth. You cant even get a bus to Springfield and we are the next suburb go figure :( These planning geniuses that design have no idea as most would never have lived here and would never ask a local what they might like. I work in Fortitude Valley and it is 28ks from door to door at Eliz Park.

Quiet weekends are a thing of the past in Spring Mountain, can guarantee there will be a loud, rowdy party most weekends. Along with that, dogs uncontrolled barking and idiots on dirt bikes tearing up their yards make it a pretty unpleasant place at weekends. It's a shame really because it used to be a great place to live.

I'm in Elizabeth park as well. Built the home we are living in for my Mum and Dad nearly 40 years ago when the area was still mostly bush. After Dad passed decided to purchase it from the family. Now we are not far from anything at all. Park and ride bus 2 min down the road to the city. You can travel North, South, East or West via the Logan, Gateway, Mt Lindsay. Park Ridge Shopping centre a couple of min away. Not many places in Brisbane where you can live on acreage but have benefits and convenience of city suburb living. Plus, not everyone travels into the city for work.

Castaways Beach

"Great spot....very friendly area indeed"

Lovely homes within walking distance to the beach approx 5 mins. All other suburbs not far away either. All high standard homes in a very quiet friendly area. Pet friendly beach.
