"Sweet Salisbury"
Named after Salisbury, UK, this suburb evokes many of the characteristics found in her English counterpart. Quaint parks and small coffee shops are interspersed around the suburb. There are many churches, new and old (not 9th century old, but old for Brisbane). There are also many character homes in this neck of the woods.
You could spend an entire weekend exploring the outdoor areas and food options. My personal favourites would be Cups & Wells, Bare Knuckles and Apples on Ainsworth.
Salisbury also has a well supported football club (soccer) and our four kids have made many friends through the years. The Salisbury bowls club is also a nice addition to balance the suburbs array of recreational offerings.
Salisbury is only a small walk from Toohey forest. It’s hard to imagine a more well located suburb in the heart of the action.
