Upper Coomera

"Great for young families!"

Upper coomera is a very large suburb, parts I would prefer not to live, but most areas are good and I have found it to be a great place to live. Public transport is excellent with a bus running fairly regularly all day off the main streets in my part of upper coomera, that takes you to the theme parks and helensvale Westfield and train station. My local shops (at the bottom of mt tambourine) are small, personal and the people lovely.. There is a small Coles, florist, hairdresser. Bakery, newsagent, subway, coffee shop, chemist, bottle shop, pizza/pasta shop, chicken takeaway, beauty shop, laundromat, Chinese takeaway, bank and several ATMs. There are plenty of both primary and high schools (public and private) in the area as well as quality daycare centres. There is a wonderful park and community centre nearby that operates lots of fitness classes, particularly stroller/mums and bubs classes. My area is surprisingly well kept by council also. The new library/community centre and public pool are amazing facilities!

Oxenford

"The business area is getting busier!"

That commercial area is growing and now has a Bunnings and an Aldi, with a medical centre and McDonald's being built currently.. The mechanics there are brilliant. The big oxenford lake is a popular place to exercise, it's 4km around and there is always people walking and running it.. A new playground , picnic area and toilet block have been built there and apparently they are improving the parking next. I believe the pony club has now moved a short distance away near the new causeway bridge..
