"Escape the rat race if you can afford it"
At last a place where you can bring up kids in the way that we grew up. Not having to worry about idiots doing burn outs in the street, lots of parks and room to walk the dogs and have the opportunity to meet like minded people.
No it is not for everyone, but at least you are safe in the knowledge that your investment is more secure and wont suffer the fate of other neighborhoods in downturns when people rent out their houses to multiple families or louts when they cannot pay their bills!
No highway noise, no door to door art salesman, no google maps and photos!

We've just been to Hope Island and fell in love with the place. I personally am persuading my whole family to move there. My only worry is the flooding and the effect of the storm. (With no intention to brag) Having built several properties in Sydney I personally think that the properties there are reasonable.... Hope Island is like a paradise to me.... would greatly appreciate any information about my concern.. thank you
"Noisy, noisy, noisy...."
North facing land. great aspect, except for the road noise starting every morning at 3:00am. during winter unbearable during summer aceptable if wind is blowing in right direction.
Unfortunately too close to boganville at the back with petty crime becomming a real problem.
Excellent houses built by people thinking that they had found their home. Reality is the turnover is high and this will never see the value increases like the rest of the waterfront properties in the gold coast.
Totally right, you can tell you have lived there. Nowhere is perfect, but for modern families - kids having freedom and space, where a few minutes bike ride gets them a dip in that Hyatt lagoon can't be bad!
