Hi Sundeep, you live in this area? How is your experience so far? We are planning to move to Melbourne from Sydney and looking at Seaford as an option.

Hi BalaV! We moved to Seaford just under 2yrs ago from Mitcham and have never been happier! Beach, fresh air, great community feel, farmers market, lots of good coffee/cafes popping up (Spanish bar has super food and pretty cool vibe!) and we are so close to the Mornington Peninsula as well as nice suburbs like Chelsea and Mordiallic. We really LOVE Seaford and have a 3yr old son who has made tons of little friends in our street alone. It really is a hidden gem but you better get in soon as house prices are on the rise due to people discovering it!

Could I ask what street or which part of Seaford you live in? Seems some areas are good and others not so much! Thanks in advance!

We live close to the IGA shop on Railway Parade. This whole north side of Seaford is great! You have access to a quiet but beautiful part of the beach and only a short stroll to Carrum beach / play park etc. The other side of Seaford is cheaper to buy as it's not as close to the beach and we were told it was a 'more troublesome' area.

We were looking at the Jubilee Avenue part of Seaford. There is a rental there we are interested in. I've checked it out on street view and being honest I've seen nicer streets in Seaford. Wonder if this is one of those 'troublesome' areas you refer to? Are we best to stick to Carrum side of Seaford?

LuluJ

Hi DeirdreO I guess it comes down to personal preference. I don't particularly like that area of Seaford as it's got the huge main road there and lots of shops/takeaways etc. It's also next to Frankston North and I know that area CAN be pretty rough at times. Where we live in Seaford North is quieter but you'd probably pay a bit more in rental if you're closer to the beach.

Thanks for your thoughts. The rental itself looks lovely. However I think you are right. i have seen nicer streets and areas in Seaford. Will keep looking!
