Ruse

"City Mouse Country Mouse Have the best of both worlds"

Ruse is ideally situated on the fringe of Sydney, I've lived in the city for many years now for the past 8 or so years have lived in Ruse. Its a wonderful and friendly community. There are plenty of choices for gyms, bushwalks, and loads of shopping malls (if thats your thing). Ruse Shops have now been renewed and a new service station has also moved in refurginsing the old one. There's a local IGA.

Its about 35-45 mins to wollongong and tourist attractoions like Berry, Mittagong, Bowral, Fitzroy falls Moss Vale are a lovely day trip. So if tourist towns, antique shops and boutique coffee shops it will take probalby an hour or so. Can't remember. The city is only about 50km away.

Ruse is a well kept secret and its a wonder you don't pay inner city prices for houses here.

There's Centric a new district near the Private hospital which has a good variety of restaurants as well as Kellicar Lane. If you want to go further afield there is Camden with plenty of restaurants.

Not much night life for bands though, only fairly mainstream acts at the RSL & Cube (catholic club venue). There's the Rydges hotel so its quite upmarket for a drink with a built in Boutique brewery.

A small cafe does jazz afternoons and the Campbelltown art Gallery is very modern and has openings, modern art exhibitions and this week there's a high tea with a pianist concert.

There are plenty of kids activities and both primary school and neighbouring suburb Leumeah High school.
