We live in Margaret Street, Tweed Heads and just love the location. The Tweed River is walking distance with a great park for families and also a boat ramp which gets lots of use. The local seafood outlet is famous for fresh fish and there are also trawlers which sell fish they have just caught. It definitely is paradise for seafood lovers. There is great shopping in Coolangatta and Tweed with two large shopping centres. There is the hospital close by and also a large day surgery facility. Heaps of restaurants, entertainment venues for the young and the rest! The beaches are just beautiful, our favourite being Rainbow Bay. The Gold Coast airport is only 15 minutes away and also Southern Cross University has two campuses close by. We moved here from the Gold Coast and wished we had moved here long ago. I would recommend our area for all age groups.
