Queenstown

"A beautiful quiet little town - Council is useless"

If you are planning to move to Queenstown in Tasmania be well prepared. Whilst the snowy winters are beautiful you can be snowed in town with road closures. You really need a 4WD to access road when they are closed due to heavy snow fall.

Do you research and be prepared. Whilst it can be cheap, council rates are quite high, food prices are high and so is fuel. Shop in bulk at Coles / Woolworths and purchase bulk fuel in Zeehan.

So much to do and explore, from snowy capped mountains and hidden rivers to the warm sand dunes of Strahan, Queenstown is situated beneath the beautiful Mt. Owen.
