The air quality is some of the best in the world. Freshly blown in from Africa. The air is well washed from the high rainfall in the area. The mine is underground so no dust and other stuff floating around.. No copper smelters or chimney stacks like years ago when I was growing up in Queenstown. We used to breath the sulpher frequently when i was a child.

hard to tell without a proper analysis, being a mining town there could be anything floating around!, however there are some very old locals still kicking so it cant all be bad.

The recent survey of air quality in Australian towns list Queenstown as having the best quality with ZERO pollutants.

The air has a crisp clean rain forest smell to it and as another has mentioned it is some of the highest air quality / lowest pollutants in the world.
