"Leafy suberb"
Pros:
Leafy suberb, quite and family oriented.
Located along linear Park and not too far (few mins) walk to paradise Interchange (without it being actually in Dernancourt).
Great primary school, with shopping malls like Gilles Plains about, speciality shops, Dan Murphy and many more only 5 mins drive.
The suburb itself is leafy with some mixed houses of old and new, with new houses popping up more frequently now, nice views of hills and linear pRk in some spots.
Most of the houses are owner occupied (that is a good thing) so it's not a transitional area like some of the adjacent suburbs. Eg. Windsor Gardens & Holden Hill.
As the suburb dsnt lead anywhere, no one usually drives there unless they're living or visiting which gives it a bit more exclusive feel.
Cons:
Council is TTG, so rates are sky high, for not a lot in terms of services. Some part of dernancourt is under Port Adelaide enfield and seems to be providing the same services for half the price.
The kids playgrounds (aside from palmoral) are old & outdated.
Outside of paradise Interchange service, the buses don't go pass lions road.
