Coramba

"Country, Cute and Community"

Coramba is about 25 mins drive inland from Coffs Harbour. The locals are friendly and helpful . Yes it is a very small township with only a few shops but it is a honest, safe and pleasant place to live. No pretence, no fuss, just a nice country town. The river is lovely, the houses are reasonably priced and there is a great sense of community. I loved living there and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to live the country life but still be very close to the coast. 😀

Tweed Heads

"Border Brilliance !"

Stunning views, parks, beaches and waterways. So close to the Gold Coast you get all the convience and benefits without living day to day with the crowds and traffic. You have the best of both worlds - drive North for the action and drive South for relaxation .
There is a International airport at your doorstep, great food and entertainment venues plus being on the border you have the daylight savings benefits of early lunches and late shopping in QLD 😀
Areas like Bilambil Heights, Terranora and Banora Heights have fantastic views. You are about an hour from Brisbane and really couldn't wish for a better place to live. Clean and friendly.
Right, now for the bad - and I am getting really picky. It has a higher then average humidity (sticky skin and frizzy hair) and depending on where you live you might be under a noisy flightpath. Both no big deals considering what you get in return.
Also, although the traffic in Tweed is great as soon as you head north you hit the Gold Coast traffic and it can take hours to navigate the simplest of tasks.
Probably the biggest negative of Tweed heads is house prices. They are hideously expensive compared to other areas. But to be fair, if you want to live somewhere that has so much to offer, you will pay for the privilege. 😉
