Empire Bay
23rd July 2025

"Coastal living at its best"

Lived here since 2020, so 5 years. I raise three kids here and just love it. I chose to live here as I wasn't a huge fan of the grid street system of Umina/Woy Woy and found Empire Bay to be both peaceful and beautiful in comparison whilst only being a 5 minute drive away.

I commute from Empire Bay to the City most days which is doable. When I work from home, I have fiber to the premises which is very high performing.

Kids get the bus to the local high school. Empire bay (main area) is one way in and one way out - so you get to know who is around. Kids ride bikes around the suburb safely. There are good fishing options and boat ramp/ ferry access.

Finally the coffee shop serves up a good brew sorting out your weekend mornings. Empire Bay tavern up the road serves really good food and great beers. I would recommend Empire Bay for young/established families and those considering a life on the peninsular.

Umina Beach

"Stunning coastal town with a relaxed vibe"

Closer you are to the beach and towards the south end the better.
Umina is a great place to live and raise a family.

The change since 2017 has been significant.

Hi TR You haven;t mention the hospitals arounds - Sydney has very good public Hospitals - Have you had any experience's with Gosford Hospital ? My main concern would be excellent health care if I moved to the coast
