Alburnum Crescent

"Those wanting to buy, have to wait for someone to die!"

This street and suburb is a great place to bring up a family or to simply kick back and enjoy a leafy Melbournian suburb.

The neighbours are generally very friendly and if asked nicely (or forcefully) can keep an eye out on your house when your away and even collect your mail.

There is very little traffic with most of it being local. Most properties are neatly kept, giving the overall street a lovely vibe and look.

The average age of the street is 50+, so the overall vibe to the street is quite and relaxed with most of the neighbours being octogenaries who navigate the treacherous pavement with custom build Zimmer frames. Having said that, houses are rarely up for sale with most sales the result of deceased estates. So if you want in, you’ll either have to wait patiently or arrange some sort of accident.

The close proximity of the fitness centre and large park are great for the fitness conscious, while the closeness of MacDonald’s and Red Rooster will appeal to those less concerned with their appearance.

The large number of pre-schools, day care and junior schools will appeal to families, while the brilliantly located sex shop will appeal to those more interested in self gratification.

In all in, Alburnum is a great street located in a great suburb. It is safe with only the occasional dodgy looking Greek.
