Wellington Point

"Wello has it all and more"

We've only lived here for 8 months but it has easily exceeded our expectations. The Brisbane CBD is not too far by public transport or car. The airport and both the coasts are easily accessible. Moving just that little bit further out of Brisbane is totally worth it for the huge lifestyle gains you will experience.

It is all here...restaurants, genuine community spirit, all the bay on your door, seabreezes, lots of activities all year round, working farms are still nearby, best place to raise kids, safe, depth of history...much more...there is so much I have missed by not living here years before!

Moving here has added years to my life, I am so glad we did it and cannot imagine living anywhere else.

Hi,
I'm thinking of moving to Wellington Point and I'm looking at a place in Kerridge Court but I see it backs onto the train line. I am wondering whether that would be quite noisy. I would appreciate any feedback please on the train frequency, or the noise factor.

I was raised in Wello and since returning in my adulthood, it hasn't changed all that much. However, traffic in mornings down the main road can be a bit backed up due to Redlands college and the high school in close proximity with limited access. Same could be said near the primary school. There are frequently car accidents near the high school so you have to be cautious. Have noticed more 'hooning' around over the last couple of years too. I would say it's generally pretty safe but much like any other area - there is good and bad. A few beggars loiter around the local shops almost every day asking people for money, have seen them at both Birkdale Fair and the near the woodwork's on Main Rd, Wellington Point - both close to primary schools.
