This is interesting. Today's 15.09.22 article headlined "Victorian crime statistics reveal Bec Judd was right about Brighton" by Ellen Ransley begs to differ. It may not be the safest, but it is no Broadmeadows!
Yeah I agree this is an unpopular opinion. That being said, in summer there seem to be a lot more incidents happening in Bayside beach suburbs. It would be good to have more information!

Yeah right, it's Melbourne's home invasion capital. Another day and another home invasion in Brighton. Criminals target the wealthy....
I live in Warrandyte and we have Zero crime..why ? There are gated communities in surrounding suburbs now. Brighton is not as community minded AND we have horse farms and wineries on our property..sorry but Brighton has lost its way..way too conservative especially amongst older boomers who think Menzies is still alive.
Brighton may have low crime stats, but it also is one of the few suburbs with no police station, nearest is in Moorabbin. So, if something terrible happens, you will have to wait a longer while for help.

This is completely untrue. Brighton is one of the safest suburbs in all of Victoria.
