Butler

"Love it!"

We've lived here over a year now and love it. Close to the beach, train station close by and the freeway will be extended to romeo road in the near future. Woolies, Coles, Aldi and other retailers in proximity. Some more commercial mixed use developments are coming up along the Butler Blvd strip which will link to the freeway. Lots of parks to walk such as Brampton and the kids love the Eden Beach Foreshore Playground in Jindalee. Occasional hooning does happen just like several other suburbs but overall a safe place to live.

Who lives here?

  • Singles

I am considering moving to Butler, but have really been put off by some of the comments here. Is it safe as I am a single mom with 1 daughter of 15 who will be using the train by herself daily. I believe the whole of Butler internet is Telstra Velocity and there are many problems with speed and buffering, is this in fact correct. Are there any other options that is not through Telstra as we definitely need unlimited internet and they don't have any unlimited packages? We are looking at renting in Romsey Glade. Please be honest about safety, cleanliness, bogans, internet etc.

belindaj6 - Did you move there? Is it as bad as they are saying?

Since moving here I've had nothing but trouble (4 incidents in 1.4 years). Came from UK and never experienced any crime in 50 years.

Its an awful place to live. Full of low class dole bludgers and their multitude of undisciplined unruly brats! Dont make your daughter live there. It wont be a good experience for either of you!
