"Great little seaside town"

Beautiful beaches. Great little retail strip and supermarket. Small industrial area surprisingly adds charm to the locale. Clean streets with quaint stone cottage homes.

Looking for a home in Wallaroo?

"Copper Coast Boom Town"

Wallaroo has finally come of age. The climate, beautiful beaches and great healthcare facilities have caught the eye of developers from around Australia. So glad I bought here now before the prices go mental. This town is set to be as big as a seaside resort in Queensland and with much more room to move. The fishing is great and there are many safe swimming beaches for the kids. The locals are friendly and helpful and the local festival "Kernewek Lowender" is a real treat held biannually in May (odd years) with street parades, markets, a wicked brew called Swanky and Fishermen's market held in Wallaroo at night. A great place to try all the yummy local seafood and watch the antics of the Morris Dancers. The antique cavalcade of cars is also around this time of year and is the biggest car event held in Australia.

Great for

  • Beaches
  • Relaxed pace
  • Climate

"You think it's small but possibly the biggest place on earth"

If you've lived in Wallaroo you will know that it is not only a great place to learn good old fashioned morals and loyalty but you will also know it it one of the greatest convesation starters. I moved to Wallaroo at age 10 and since graduating from high school have lived in Adelaide, Melbourne and Germany, i have travelled to New Zealand, England, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia as well as most of the Australian states and the one common theme with all these places is you are almost assured of meeting someone you know or some with whom you have a mutual friend.
The costal lifestyle, climate and variety of activites that can be enjoyed here along with the very low cost of lving make Wallaroo one of the best places in the world to live. If you think something small will be forgotten you have lived in Wallaroo.

"Great place to raise a family"

It is a friendly place where everyone knows each other. It has clean safe swimming beaches, kids have a choice of sports to participate in. Fishing is a favourite past-time here as there is a very long jetty to fish from or use the boat ramp to launch your boat. There is a public and private primary school in Wallaroo.
9ks down the road, is the large town of Kadina. It has a high school and it is also the main shopping precinct with all the modern shops and service you will require without having to go to the big smoke. Adelaide is less than 2 hours down the highway.
Lived and raised my family here for the past 20 years. The weather is great no matter what time of year. Come and have a look for yourself, it is a place you don't want to leave in a hurry.

"Top fishing spot"

Fish from the jetty for squid, crabs, etc, or plenty of great fishing if you're lucky enough to have a boat!
