How easy is it to become a part of the community in Warragul?

I currently live in a town that has a reputation for not accepting new people very easily. If your family do not have a history going back 100 years you are a foreigner and if you have ethnic connections, forget it! We are tired of the racism and want to move to a friendly area where everyone is accepted for who they are.

Hi Jim!

Sorry to hear you have had a hard time where you’re living.

Having lived here a majority of my life, and in my lifetime and career seen and assisted many families, professionals, singles, and more relocate to Warragul and love it, I would love to think we live in a welcoming community with plenty to offer.

A suggestion would be to come and explore the town for yourself! A day exploring the township and surrounds would be my advice to get a feel for if an area is for you.

I hope this helps!

Hey Jim,

I moved to Drouin (I've since moved to Latrobe Valley) to Work in Warragul five years ago, I've found the people really friendly I didn't know a single person when I moved here and that was really scary to me, I had lived 25 years in a town where I knew everyone. It helps that I volunteer across a number of local Warragul charities and have met some wonderful people this way. I find that if you get involved in something then you will meet people quickly. There are so many sporting clubs, charities, friendship groups even a men shed the list is endless all looking for people to join in.

Best of Luck
