If I was interesting in camping here (not overnight), would that require any permission?

Hi there,
I live on Waterfall Drive, Wongawallan. I have been doing a fair bit of research and I am struggling to find any information regarding the camping terms and conditions for my area. Not far away from where I live (1 min walk from house) there is a large patch of grass for national parkland.
My friends and family are interested in holding a private Saturday night game night, possibly every 2 to 3 Saturdays during the holidays (possibly more if this works out nicely). It would hopefully be a small family/friends based event consisting of between 1-4 hours of board games and social interaction starting at around 5pm.
I am aware of the sound restrictions and I would not want to upset my neighbours whatsoever. However, I am also aware that this event may be loud or disruptive if the tent was too close to our neighbours.
If there is anything or anywhere more suitable for this (preferably not a community campsite), It would be highly appreciated if you could help me out with this.
