Hi dontjustdoit,
Thanks for the tip, I haven't tried The Bakery yet (the other two I have and agree they are great pizza places), but will add it to my own list of pizza places I must check out.

For those who visit Victoria Street Richmond should try E Lounge, 409 Victoria Street. Real authentic Italian pizza!
E Lounge? Definitely gonna try that one Leelee as it is just around the corner :)

Someone just recommended Bimbo Deluxe 376 Brunswick St (Cnr Rose St) Fitzroy to me. They couldn't speak more highly of it. They were amazed by the gourmet $4 pizzas and even said they are equally as good as Espresso Pizza at Macedon Square Templestowe ! Can't wait to try it !
Bimbo pizza may be good for the price, but perhaps not good in absolute terms...
What does that mean ? All the reviews I've read are very good. I'll give my opinion when I eat there .....watch this space......
Tried E Lounge on Vic St Richmond again on Sunday night and wasn't disappointed. Group of 7 at 9.15pm was no issue either. Also spied a celeb Master Chef there eating too!
Please recognize the 2 schools of pizza thought. Trendy (or is it truly "Ol school") just a waffer of porcini and some fior di latte with local picked basil, vs. the Aussie artery buster. For a good ol Aussie "Slop it all on there greasy treat", Try Goofy's on Buckley St in Essendon. I'm not talking Artisan wood fired, but if you get home late and it's as good at 2am as it is at 7pm (obviously pizza tastes better the later you get it), then its a winner in my books. For grease down your fore arms try the Goofy's special (Prettymuchallgodscreations), or for the critical, Shanes special is a thinner more sparsely populated pizza. MMMMMMMMmmmmymmissuslikesemcurvyyyy.
Bobbo
400 Gradi, 99 Lygon St, Brunswick East. Thin crust woodfired pizza. Bellissimo!
I completely agree with bobbo. There are so many schools of thought around Pizza preferences. And to be honest, it really depends on the mood I'm in. Do I feel like really pigging out? Then I'll hit up a massive aussie style pizza. If I want a nice glass of wine and perhaps a desert after? Then I'll go the more traditional thin base italian pizza.
