Tricky to answer as school locations are under review. The NSW Department of Education may already have made a decision. As I understand it, Marsden High School, West Ryde is being closed and is being relocating to the current TAFE site at Meadowbank (which is the located immediately south of West Ryde). There is a huge problem with the Meadowbank site as its poorly serviced by roads. It's not a school location I would recommend to a family that drops off and picks up. For families that are comfortable with their children using public transport it's a much higher location to consider: It's next to Meadowbank Railway Station and there is a bus at the door. Its a ten minute walk from Meadowbank Wharf - note - up a steep hill. If your child will be carrying a heavy backpack I don't recommend using this option.
West Ryde Public School has just been renovated.
There is a Catholic Primary School at Meadowbank. It's not located near public transport; it may be served by school buses. It's about a 15 minute level walk from Victoria Road; its about a 12 minute walk up a steep hill (both ways) from Meadowbank Station. It's half an hour walk from Meadowbank Ferry Wharf.
There is no Catholic High School at West Ryde.
