There is a restaurant called "The Alpine" up near the old Conquistador ski area west of town (Westcliffe), the food is great, there is a bar and a deck this is a favorite for locals and a super find for tourists! It is kinda hard to find so you can look it up online and or ask in town before heading west on Hermit Road
