Reviews of Wickham Grove, Strathmore
"Beautiful, quiet … crazy to move."
Wickham Grove, Strathmore
Tucked into the heart of old Strathmore, Wickham Grove is one of those rare streets that feels almost protected from the outside world. A quiet, U-shaped crescent with virtually no through-traffic, it offers a genuine sense of calm — birdsong, rustling leaves, and the soft sounds of a settled neighbourhood rather than the constant drone of cars. Mature trees and established gardens frame generous blocks, many around 570–840 m², creating a leafy, private feel that is increasingly hard to find so close to everything.
Homes here rarely change hands. The average owner has lived on the street for more than 17 years, most properties are owner-occupied, and the single-dwelling covenants help keep the character intact. You’re only a short walk from Napier and Woodland Street shops and cafés, local parks, excellent schools, and Strathmore Station — yet the street itself remains peaceful and tightly held.
Once you’re here, the combination of quiet prestige, space, and everyday convenience settles in. The stillness, the gardens, the sense that this is a place people stay for decades… it becomes hard to imagine wanting anything else. You’d be crazy to move out of the Grove..with 99% of the people being kind & friendly ….
But miracles do happen … ❤️🙏🏻🐕
