Reviews of Windaroo, QLD

"A little bit of lovely"

I have lived in Windaroo for 12 years and brought up my family here. Most of our neighbours have been around for just as long. Noone wants to leave! Great spirit especially round xmas time for the Kaiser light show. Very pretty place with wide streets and decent size blocks. Very affordable especially in the original Windaroo. Lovely mountain back drop.

Great for

  • Golf course, close to bush and suburbs (if needed)
  • Quiet, big wide streets

"Very safe, quiet and an excellent place for golfers."

My grandparents house was the first house ever built in the Estate 22 years ago and they still live here. I visited every year from Melbourne whilst i was a child and never felt unsafe here. I now live here through rental and apart from a couple of occasions where the neighbors had a party, it's always quiet, even throughout the day. most of the people that live here are retirees, and you will even find all the families with kids who have been here from long ago are either moving on as the kids get older or the kids are! Apart from a hoon or two every so often, it is a very safe place to live, with big wide streets for kids to play, and at night you are lucky if you here a pin drop. I would live here any time. The whole estate is centered around a golf course which has beautiful walking tracks and is tucked away enough that passing it, you would probably miss it (if you didn't know it was there)

Great for

  • Quiet, big wide streets
  • Golf course, close to bush and suburbs (if needed)
  • Sunny bright days, comfortable living

Not great for

  • The growing kids and their cars
