Yarraman Street, Lutwyche, QLD 4030

Yarraman St is tucked away in a quiet corner of Lutwyche, right on the edge of Windsor and Grange. It is a mere 4 kilometres from the lifestyle and nightlife hub of Fortitude Valley and 5 kilometres from the city centre (both by road - even less as the crow flies). The street itself is picturesque, wide, lined with lovely (for the most part) renovated homes in the typical 'Queenslander' style. The neighbourhood is extremely friendly. Within a week of moving in, I was invited to meet and greet drinks with all the neighbours and it has remained just as friendly since. Great cafes and restaurants are within walking distance in Wilston or a short cab ride into the valley!

There is both pay TV and internet access readily available (although under Optus cable internet is only available) and mobile phone coverage is the same as in the city centre.

Yarraman St is located one block away from Kedron Brook reserve and so is very close to walking/bicycle tracks and sports ovals. There are numerous small parks nearby for younger children and off-leash areas for dogs. Similarly, within less than a kilometre there is a large gym for the more enthusiastic!

The street itself is very clean. The locals tend to take pride in their gardens.etc so it gives the street an overall neat and tidy appearance. There is good sewage/water supplies and the council collects rubbish weekly and recyclables fortnightly.

Due to this street being in Lutwyche (aka SLutwyche - as it has been previously known), the prices are somewhat better than the suburbs which this street literally borders, although house prices are coming into line with expectations, given its proximity to the city, facilities.etc

Yarraman St is within 1 kilometre of Lutwyche shopping centre, and hence grocery shopping. Kedron Brook Rd and Wilston village are around 1.5km away and the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (and Royal Children's) are 2.5km away. There are numerous schools nearby, most notably Wilston State School is just down the road. In terms of transport infrastructure. Windsor station is nearby, a Northern Busway station is being built 1km away and the Airport Link will be around 2km away - so the transport links are brilliant.

Overall, this is a brilliant street tucked away in a beautiful area. Close to shops, infrastructure, recreation facilities, schools and the city, this is an (as yet) undiscovered little piece of joy in inner Northern Brisbane.
