Reviews of Agnes Street, Beaconsfield

"Almost South Fremantle"

One of the best streets in Beaconsfields.
Agnes, Martha, Trafford, McCleery ans Solomon Street, I consider to be the best streets in this suburb. They are all high on the ridge of Beaconsfield overlooking the Indian Ocean and less than 200 meters from the South Fremantle border. You can walk down to South Tce and all the cafes in South Freo in under 10 minutes and be at the ocean in less than 15 minutes walk.

The people living on Agnes are all friendly with a real close community feel. As mentioned by another review we have a yearly Christmas party on the street. Very low traffic area, only local traffic.

There is some parts of Beaconsfield further east that still need some improvement, still nice but not the same. Anywhere up on the ridge is like a different suburb. The houses are often from 1910's - 1930's type Freo character homes, which gives it real charm and personally much nicer than the same old modern concrete boxes.

Only down side is the high amount of street parking but with many of the houses being from the early 1900's when cars were hardly used and it was mainly horses you can understand why lots of homes only have a small single garage.

Wonderful area.

"One of the best streets in Beaconsfield"

One of the nicest streets in Beaconsfield, it is full of older heritage homes. High on the ridge with ocean views. Get all the advantages of living in South Fremantle without the price tag. Great community on the street, yearly Christmas lunches etc. Two streets from the South Freo boarder. A fantastic fit for those after the Fremantle lifestyle.

Great for

  • Close to the Cafes and the beach
  • Quiet street with ocean views
  • Safe, tight community

Not great for

  • Higher priced to other parts of Beaconsfield but you get what you pay for.
  • Not much street parking
