looking to sell elsewhere and buy in Agnes but am unsure of work opportunities, are there many ?

Short answer is no.

If you have a trade it might be ok.

The supermarket sometimes hires as do some of the cafes and restaurants but not often. You could be a cleaner maybe. Not well paid and everyone wants those jobs.

There are small businesses - one man band type things - but no professional employment to speak of. No offices or anything like that.

You could start your own business but keep in mind that it's a small town so, outside of tourist season, you may struggle for customers.

I wouldn't recommend moving to Agnes unless you have a source of income from elsewhere (e.g. your own online business, retirement income, etc.) A lot of unemployed folks in Agnes.
