Hi, we want to move to Airlie beach soon. Just wondering about Cyclones and floods...do they happen often? Are they something to be concerned about or are they rare? What is monsoon season like?

Move to Proserpine it is a little inland and much safer from Cyclones/Floods and.. STORM Surge. Proserpine has a great climate, is generally a little cooler then Airlie Beach with less humidity.
