Reviews of Akala Street, Flaxton
"Peaceful Beautiful Safe place to retire or bring up children"
There is an excellent walk around the block past the lilliponds and past the rainforest. A friendly street where everyone waves as you walk or drive past. Kondallilla falls, picnic area and swimming hole is just around the corner, along with the Flaxton winery and many wonderful restaurants and speciality shopping. We are on acreage and have neighbors on 3 sides. They are all great and over all the years we have lived here, which is about 7, we have never had any issues. We don't have any hoones driving up and down so our children can ride their bikes safely.

"Beautiful street, lovely gardens and atmosphere. Up-market area, mainly retirees. High rainfall and breathtaking scenery. Lots of ticks, spiders and snakes."
The most magnificent views, lush and green, set amongst the Blackall ranges. Glorious homes and gardens. Neighbours are caring and decent people. A magic place with a positive atmosphere. Mainly acreage properties, therefore occasionally noisy, due to tractors, ride-on mowers and power tools. The main down side is the many snakes and paralysis ticks that can kill animals. Therefore, daily checks of pets, Frontline and collars and whatever else you can lay your hands on. A great deal of thought needs to go into living here if you have pets. Otherwise, heaven on earth. Lots of waterholes with lillies, walking areas, State forest, beautiful gardens and architecture. Frog-mouth Owls are residents in the street. People are friendly and will chat when you walk by their homes. Only 10 minute drive to Nambour, where there are full facilities. Montville is only 5 mins drive and Malaney, 20 minutes. Certainly a tourist area and breathtaking drives. High rainfall to fill up those water tanks. Overall, a friendly and caring neighbourhood and tree-lined street.
