Reviews of Albert Park, SA

"Albert Park in a nut shell"

I have lived in Albert Park for 23 years, as adelaideman and sebastiancavlov have already stated, Albert Park is close to everything including shops, public transport, medical facilities and schools etc. The suburb is very clean and many of the roads and footpaths have been recently redone, only adding extra curb appeal to the properties in Albert Park. There is not much crime in Albert Park, the latest Neighborhood Watch newsletter reported only 5 crimes in the area, mostly car related. Overall, it is an affordable, nice and safe suburb close to many local facilities.

"Albert Park- A hidden GEM!"

Albert Park is one of the best suburbs in the western area of Adelaide. The suburb is full of nice Neighbours and it is always quiet and clean. Their are many shops around West lakes shopping centre, Arndale shopping centre, Port Adelaide Mall, St clair shopping centre, findon shopping centre and Fulham complex and Adelaide with the train and soon tram. Most streets allow for off street parking, and are quiet generous in width for reversing out driveways, besides half of Avro ave and the few 3-4 small streets around it are a bit tighter. There are a few medical centres around albert park, one on port rd, Woodville rd and Cheltenham parade. Their are a few childcare facilities, one in Botting st, one on Tapleys hill rd and one in Woodville West. Albert Park is has 2 parks one in Gordon and one in Hendon just out of Albert Park, their is also a big indoor sport centre in Murray st and their are also several gyms. Albert park is close to every mode of transport train, bus soon to have the tram extended to Albert Park. there are several school near by including Public and Private. Albert Park is probably one of the best places to invest in as the value of the suburbs around it are much higher despite not being worth it (in my opinion). Albert Park is going to sky rocket in years to come. From the tram extension, St Clair and woodville west development, residences upgrading houses and demand to live in the western suburbs. I honestly want to move to West lakes but i just don't see the value in moving as for a similar house i will have to pay $200,000 more. I would recommend anyone to Albert Park.

"The truth about lil' Albert Park."

As a born local in Albert Park if anyone knows a thing about the area it is going to be me.
Albert Park is an interesting area. Affordable , local and not alot really goes on. Their is the occasional helicopter flying over at night looking for a crim, and the traffic in the area is very low for traffic cutting through to get from Port Road to Tapleys Hill Road. Their is a problem with the students from peer parking down side streets near buy but other than this Albert Park is a cheap , local , affordable and close to everything you might need ( WestLakes Mall, Public Transport, Petrol, Food, Car Yards, The ports)Its has a child care facility in Botting Street and Our Lady Queen Of Peace Primary school in the area too. Seaton High School schooling zone includes Albert Park also. Sure it's not the best Suburb in SA but its by far not the worst!

Thanks

"Its a well established area on the improve"

My grandparents lived in the area for a number of years. Nice old houses, on big blocks with a number of newer houses being put up on split blocks.

It is a nice enough suburb with easy access to the city and shops. Arndale and Port Adelaide are not far away. My grandmother had a number of good friends in the area which made her happy.

However, cars travel the wide streets at high speeds and there are frequent break-ins and property damage. People walking along the street seem often banged or tapped fences with the sole intent of upsetting dogs.

The upside is, the houses are nice and on big blocks, there is easy access to transport. Prices in the area are definitely on the rise.
