Reviews of Gordon Street, Albert Park

"Quiet and with easy access to all facilities"

Albert Park is a small, but up and coming suburb with easy access to beach, shopping centre (Westfield West Lakes), sport (AAMI Stadium), Schools, public transport (bus and train), beach, cafes (West Lakes, Sempahore, Henley Beach) and only 15 minutes to the city.

I have lived in Albert Park for over 15 years and are friends with all my neighbours. It is an old suburb so there are lots of lovely old bungalows that are now being bought and renovated to their former glory. There are also quite a few new houses being built so the suburb is well and truly on the improve.

A quiet suburb, with a community spirit - a great place to bring up a family with all the conveniences close by.

"easy access to local facilities and nice wide street"

Gordon Street is close to the Port, Arndale and Westlakes. Getting into the city is easy as it is a quick trip straight down Port Road.

The houses are old but tend to be well maintained, although there isn't much greenery on the streets. No large trees shading the area.

My Grandparents lived on Gordon street for many years and were quite happy. However, Gordon street takes a reasonable amount of traffic that tends to travel quite quickly due to the long wide stretch of road.

Parts of Gordon street sit across from an industrial estate although there is little noise or pollution that comes out. It is a neighbourly street with my grandparents making some good friends.

The property value is well and truly on the up. There is great potential for it to be a great suburb but I wouldn't consider it there yet. My grandparents often talked of recent breakins and people poking their head over the fence to have a look.
