Archer Street, Kangaroo Flat, VIC 3555

Archer Street may only be about 300 meters long and all the people in this street are retired or working towards their retirement, we are in the later group. We love the fact that Lansel Plaza is only a short walk to all the leading retailers including Coles, Safeway, K-mart, and Bunnings (my favourite) and in the other direction there is Harvey Norman. Jump in the car and within 5 minutes there are places like Pedders Suspension, Fluidrive, Aldi, Chemists, VideoEasy and many other stores.
Here we are within 15 minutes of Bendigo CBD which has all the things one would hope to find in a major city, and that other city, Melbourne, is about an hour and a half from here.
There is plenty of development going on around here at the moment, to the east there is Byambe Rise estate, about 300 new houses and to the north past Lansel Plaza there is a huge new complex being built and is expected to be open in October 07, no one seems to know who the tenants are yet but rumor has it that JB HiFi will be there.
There seems to be little or no crime in our street, not even domestic disturbances, and the neighbours all observe the noise pollution rules, lawnmowers, loud music etc.
