Can retirees live comfortably in Armadale?

I have an aunt who lives in the area and she is quite happy with her choice. She is not too far from the shops, although she does have a car. So comfortable - yes, in terms of it not being too expensive because Armadale is one of the cheaper housing areas with a so-so reputation. Some spots are nicer than others. And, comfortable because since the new shopping centre arrived a few years back there is everything that she needs and it is okay to wander about the shops for a bit of amusement to fill in time. The cinemas are there too and there is a smattering of cafes and the train station is there if you want to go to the city or anywhere else to do other shopping.
