The best beaches close to Melbourne include from Carrum to Brighton beach. If you would like to go to excellent beaches it is further to travel. This includes the Mornington peninsula where the beaches are fantastic and of high quality. You can access the Mornington peninsula by using the newly developed Peninsula link which extends through to Portsea. All the beast to the West side of Port Philip down the great Ocean road a world class and have amazing views.

The Bayside beaches are amazing, the best water quality seems to be from Aspendale to Seaford...nice and shallow and crystal clear on summer days!
