Reviews of Batu Road, Herbert
"Rural 5 acre blocks, quiet cul de sac, animal life abounds, lots of bush noises."
A quiet cul de sac, near to a golf course with restaurant. Shopping centre,
schools, a couple of pubs, doctors and bus terminus all within 5 kms.
Wallabies, dingos, bush chooks, galahs, parrots, kookaburras, black and white cockatoos, curlews by the dozen, frill neck lizards and snakes (but never seen one).
Heavily wooded, Woolie Butts, Kurrajongs, Blood Woods, Billie Goat Plums and many different species of Eucalypts abound.
Fourty kms from the centre of Darwin linked by good arterial roads, speeds of 80 to100 ks/hr all the way into Darwin except for the last kilometer. Thirty five mins from the centre of Darwin in peak hour traffic that moves quite freely. No traffic jams!
