Are there any apartment complexes in Beacon?

Or is renting done mainly through residential homes?

Yes, there are apartment complexes in Beacon. Some are located by the train station. Others are on Fishkill Ave. Majority of them have thin walls. Prices are more affordable in the complexes then living in an apartment building in Beacon. Prices continue to increase with the passing of each year here. Sure, you may find an apartment for $900 but I bet it will be very small and run down. An average one br runs around $1200 not including utilities in Beacon. A bit over priced for such a small town where the majority of store fronts are closed on Mondays and Tuesday. You won't find that out til you actually live here.

Totally, Tompkins Terrace, Horizons at Fishkill and Avalon Crystal Hill are all in Beacon. They're all pretty nice and not terribly expensive from my research.

Yes, several. I'm not intimately familiar with any of them, but even just passing through on Route 9D you'll see apartment buildings. I know there are others as well.

Like in any city, you'll see people renting homes and I know it's done here too, but apartment-style housing definitely exists here.
