Do Beacon voters have any particular political tendencies? Does the city lean either way?

I don't see any statistics indicating strong current political leanings. Having said that, the 2008 Presidential election statistics indicate that 54% of Beacon voted Democratic while 45% voted Republican. The local elections also seem to suggest that votes choose based on candidates/issues rather than voting along party lines.
