"Great place to raise a family"

We moved to Beaconsfield from Berwick about three years ago and discovered this best kept secret. It's the perfect location to raise a family with all amenities within walking distance. A 3 year old can even ride their bike to the shops and back. The local schools are excellent and there are lovely walking trails and bushland close by. We walk to the Akoonah Park Market every week and walk/ride to the shops most days.
Cannot recommend Beaconsfield highly enough for young families :)

"We LOVE Beaconsfield!"

We have lived in Mt Waverley, Rowville, Narre Warren Nth & Narre Warren Sth. In our humble opinion Beaconsfield is one of the best suburbs in which to raise a family. We have lived here now for 5 years and would not consider moving. Beaconsfield offers the best of country and city living with great local schools (private, public & Catholic), shopping, transport and recreational facilities. The suburb has a great mix of people from tradies to professionals. At the time of writing this review, properties range from about the $400k - $1m plus range. In a nutshell. It's just a really nice place to live.

"Beautiful place with future potential"

We moved from Adelaide in 2020. We have been renting in Wheelers Hill and considered Rowville initially, however realised public transport in Rowville is really poor... probably shocking could be a better word.

So we have been searching Berwick and Beaconsfield.. Finally we bought a house in Beaconsfield.

So far we are very happy. Big blocks and lots of beautiful trees. A bit far away from the city but we have Beaconsfield and Berwick railway stations!

Also I see there are developments are happening, a new shopping centre and Taco Bell/Carl's Junior coming soon. Some people may dislike developments but I was sick of anti-development mentality in Adelaide.

I am happy in Beaconsfield

"Moved to the best suburb in Melbourne!"

After looking to buy a home by the bay and through to the hills and every in between we found what we consider the best suburb. It has the country feel but yet close to everything. The local shopping centre caters for all your needs including both an Aldi and Safeway within the same car park. Day care centres are all rated highly. You have your pick from the top high schools in the state as they are all near by. Quick access to the freeway which is a God send for going to work. Once 9am hits the freeway is clear and no traffic build up. Public transport at your door step. For a family with young kids surrounded by so many retirees and young families in our estate it makes me feel very safe day and night. Can not fault it one bit!

"Love living in Beaconsfield"

Have lived in Beaconsfield for 15 years. Raised 3 kids who all went to the local Primary school, and walked to the local high school. They are all grown up, but still living in Beaconsfield. You really feel that this is your community, and get to know your locals. Great shops, plenty of parks and recreation facilities. Always so good to come home!!!

Great for

  • Direct train to the city every 20 minutes.

Not great for

  • Desperately need a service station.

"Country feel in the suburbs"

Moved from warragul to Beacy 5 years ago and really love it. Great place to raise kids. Also great for family to vist only 35 mins from warragul and all hwy and no city driving for the oldies. Catch the train to the city for any major events. Beacy has it all country feel in the suburbs.

"Safe and pleasant lifestyle"

A superb suburb to live and visit. Safe, quiet and within easy access to everything. Open spaces for the kids and plenty of places to walk the dog. I have nothing negative to say about Beaconsfield.

"Picturesque living in the Victorian countryside"

Set against a backdrop of stunning rolling hills and beautiful rivers and creeks, Beaconsfield is a delightful community located around 45km from Melbourne. Bordered by towns like Harkaway, Guys Hill, Officer, Clyde and Berwick, Beaconsfield is a great location for young families or retirees seeking picturesque living in the Victorian countryside. It is home to almost 4,000 people and boasts its own railway station, a small shopping centre with an Aldo supermarket, an Aussie Rules football team and both a primary school and college.

"A beautiful place to live"

Beaconsfield is a beautiful town to live in - it still has that country feel but is so close to everything. Safeway is coming into the area soon. I love it and wouldn't live anywhere else.

Thanks for the review! You're almost on the edge of Melbourne - how is the mobile phone reception?

Fine no dramas at all. I also have broadband internet and foxtel. So all services are available.

Thanks for lettung us know. Some people report patchy services in outer areas so it's helpful to know Beaconsfield has good coverage.

I'm confused.

You love it and wouldn't live anywhere else but you rate it 3 stars!

Come on. Where is your community spirit!

3 stars is a disgrace. Especially from a local agent.

Lift your game ;-)
