Are termites a problem in the Bedfordale area?

I imagine they would be if you had a wooden house or one on wooden stumps, with pine roofing or anything like that. They seem to be everywhere, especially if there is good soil and moist soil nearby. Well vegetated areas often have plenty around since they can get the fallen limbs and branches on the ground.
