I lived here for about a year when I was just out of high school. My friend and I moved into a nice little 3 bedroom house with a huge backyard right opposite the skate park. The rent was great, $180 a week, and we were a couple of minute walk from the grocery store, the pizza place and the pub which were all very important to a couple of 18 year olds. Now this is a small town so every one knows eachother but everyone is super friendly. Our neighbours used to put out the trash for us when we forgot and the boy down the road used to mow the lawn for beer. The pub is full of locals and the meals are pretty average but you can have a fun night out there if you put your mind to it. The bus stop is close by but buses only run every few hours and stop at 8pm weekdays and 12pm Saturdays, not running on Sundays so you will need a car to live here. For tourists there really isn't much. There is Kurth Kiln which is great for horse riding, camping and a good ol' bbq in the summer. You can also swim and go on some beautiful walks down there. I really loved living here because I love the small town environment but if you don't like that then stay away. Also if you live near the skate park be prepared for some rowdy kids late night on the weekends doing burnouts and smashing glass.
