Considering moving to Benowa Waters

Benowa Waters, QLD 4217 is located within the null local government area, part of the Gold Coast Region in Queensland.

Hi we are looking at moving to the Gold Coast next year. The suburb we are considering is Benowa Waters and I would like know peoples views on living in this area? We are a growing family so we want a family friendly suburb - safe, friendly, quiet etc. Not too far from the beach but not in amongst the hustle and bustle. Also we need a good school preferably not too large as one child has learning difficulties and needs extra help - preferably close to Benowa Waters. His in primary school but will be starting high school in 2 years time so would like to know about both primary and secondary. Commute to work and house price isn't really an issue just the suburb itself, the lifestyle and the positives it can provide for children.

I have been a local resident of Benowa Waters for 19 years, I am also a Real Estate agent and as such see many different suburbs, yet I still choose to live here. Its family friendly , safe, it has a great local shopping centre, and choice of public and private schools. Its far enough out of the transient life of the Cold Coast yet just 10 mins to the beach, major shopping centres etc. Benowa Primary and Benowa High are both great schools, for financial reason we took my daughter out of a Private school to go to High School at Benowa High and it turned out to be a great decision. There is also ST Kevin’s, a primary school across the Road. I am sure they would all have children with special needs, however there is also a School a couple of k’s up the Road called Southport Special School.
