"Good street but watch out for the snobs on the Esplanade."
Birdrock Ave is a great street to live but watch out for the snobs who live on the Esplanade. They think they are better than everyone else and subsequently are hated by everyone in the street. Don't try to say hello to them as they will most likely ignore you.

The house prices are higher by about 30%. Hence why the Esplanade dwellers think they are so much better. To be truthfull it is only a couple of them that are a pain.
It is a great area, lots of coastal walks, good bay views and a nice beach. Sorry i don't have any pics.
So if ur street is so great, 1) Why the low score,and 2) Is it Government Housing.
And just a bit of friendly advice, if you dont like some people because they snob you, dont make things worse by continueing to try and talk to them just ignore them back it pisses them off too, and dont make snobs an excuse to lower ratings, I would rather live next door to snobs than people in government housing! Less chance of trouble and noise from the neighbors!!!!

try smiling and saying hi as you pass by ANYONE you walk past in that area and 99 times out of 100 you will be returned the same and quite likely a bit of chat as well.
of course if you are glaring at them out of bitter jealousy because they live on the esplanade then dont expect much friendliness in return.
thats not to say that there is not one or to idiots living on the street- who knows- i have not run into them.
but its the same wherever you go.
Yikes, sounds like there might be a turf war... The Esplanade vs Birdrock Ave. Are the house prices on The Esplanade much higher than the other streets in the area? From the map the area looks beautiful, have you got any photos of the beach from your street or something?
