"Park for the Kiddies"

Blamey Street has been a mecca for local kids from when the suburb was created in the 1950s. The reason? It contains Blamey Park with its playground and a little open space. The homes in Blamey Street, from Cox’s Road to Farrington Parade, are modest and, like their gardens, well cared for. It doesn’t carry a lot of traffic except at Christmas when many cars park here to walk to the lights adorning the houses in nearby Chauvel Street.
