Blamey Street and its surrounding streets on the northern beaches of Sydney is a gold mine for families. The suburb is surrounded by beautiful beaches, playing fields and parks. There is a good selection of public and private schools and Warringah Mall, the major shopping centre on the Northern Beaches, is less than 1km away. Although pricey in comparison to the rest of Sydney, Allambie is cheaper than neighbouring Manly yet is more family friendly and benefits from Manly's humming cafes, restaurants, beaches and nightlife (if so desired). The local Allambie Heights shops are great for quick shop or bite to eat with a reasonably priced supermarket and array of shops and cafes.
