Hi Doug, it is named after my uncle, Don Hausknecht, who died serving Australia in World War II. He was one of two men from the local community who died serving in that war, I think. There used to be pictures of them both in the local community hall, some years ago. I hope this is helpful. (Peggy Hausknecht)
