How bad are the mosquitos ?
I've heard that mosquitos can become plague proportions. My kids react very badly to mosquito bites, would it be wise to look at the bay area's, especially Brighton?

It depends on where you are and the wind. On the bay with a breeze off the water and you have no mozzies but back away from the water you will have some. If the wind blows off from the wet lands then you can get plenty of them.
