Please Help! Where to buy a house in Brisbane?

Brisbane (CBD), QLD 4000 is located within the Brisbane local government area, part of the Brisbane Region in Queensland.

If you can live any where in Brisbane (and immediate surrounds) and have between $ 600 000 and $ 750 000 to spend for a modern house, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 car garage with pool (preferably), to spend ... where would this be? Good private co-ed or Girls' school and reasonable travelling time to Milton is important. Well kept gardens and houses in the neighbourhood are an added advantage.

Any feedback for family friendly suburbs would be appreciated!

I would take alook at the western suburbs like Kenmore and Chapel hill (and other surrounding suburbs) as it is close to Milton yet very family friendly. I grew up in this area and went to great private schools (and kenmore high is also a very good public school) I had great neighbours, low crime etc. I think you'd find a lovely house with your budget in this area.

I now live in a south east suburb called Coorparoo. Its very lovely, very close to the city, good schools around here however you'd have to drive through the city to get to Milton. and trust me, you'd get over it real quick! So I'd stay on the west side.

Red Hill and Ashgrove would be a great area that may tick all your boxes. I can't fault the location (and it's very close to Milton), great schools, close to city, lots of heritage listed houses and areas, no highrises allowed. And great community atmosphere. Good luck!

Looking for a home in Brisbane (CBD), QLD 4000

I would also consider Graceville, Chelmer area although this may be a little more than the $750k for the right property
