"Bundaberg - Good value for money"

Located at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, Bundaberg is four hours north of Brisbane and is famous for its brewed drinks with Bundaberg Rum being the most well known and consumed. There is plenty of shopping facilities here and Bundaberg has all the amenities you would expect in a town of this size. Other than the many sporting activities, there are plenty of other ways of passing the time including a visit to Fairymead Sugar Museum, Railway Museum or enjoy the seaside at nearby Bargara. Whilst visiting this area you can stay at one of the many hotels or motels, use the backpacker accommodation or stay at a well appointed caravan park. Bundaberg is still an affordable place to purchase property and is ideal for the first home buyer.

Looking for a home in Bundaberg Central?

"The home of Bundy Rum! Why it is sugar cane country."

Bundaberg is a town that is off the main highway north. It is a strong sugar cane growing area and the cane and the distillery are very strong support for the city. Bundabery Rum has been made here for 120 years. You can visit the factory 7 days a week.

Bundaberg is an older city and very interesting in its architecture.

The beaches on the coast from Bundaberg are opposite the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef and more open to the rigours of the ocean. The beaches are fantastic and Bargara is proving to be a very popular place. Quite modern as it has not been long since the new developments and very much the resort style living.

Turtles, whales and soft coral are all there for the viewing if you go on any of the dives out of Bargara.

It is becoming a popular holiday area and it is only about 3 1/2 hours drive from Brisbane. From here you can also access Lady Elliot Island.

"Bundaberg"

So many great people , just so friendly , the worst crime in Bundaberg is a lost mobile phone 🤣 google that yourself ! You need to see to believe , the macadamia farms are something to behold , when driving into the city ! And that is just the start ! Do your homework and you will fall in love ❤️ If not ? You might walk away disappointed ? If your after surfers paradise style ? Your out of your league ! Life is about Ying & Yang 👍 enjoy 😊

"Gods Country"

Bundaberg has stinger free beaches, rarely suffers hail from storms, and Bundy is protected by Fraser Island. This Island is the largest sand island in the world and deflects most cyclones and makes our beaches family friendly. Very few dangerous rips.
Two beautiful rivers flow through bundaberg and district.
Coral grows just off the shore for snorkelling.
Might be humid in Summer, but Winter is always mild.

"Good place for people without a car"

All amenities are within walking distance, take away, public transport and train station. However it is a busy area with lots of traffic and many back packer hostels. It is prone to crime so be sure to have security on your home.

Great for

  • Close to everything you need

Not great for

  • Very busy and loud
  • Prone to crime

"Bundaberg is a great place to live"

I have lived here for 6 years now. I have a young family and my husband is happy in his job. It is a great place for families to be and there is always lots to do around here. The shops are convenient and I can always find what I need in the one place at any time of the week. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
