"A great location not far to the CBD and close to motorways"

Moved into the area three years ago from Melbourne, best decision we ever made. Great suburb, clean, safe and well established. Great community feel. All amenities very close.

"Great in the way of looks and proximity to a lot of things, but not great with noise, and traffic."

If you don’t mind the noise of passenger and freight trains, or (if your not too close to the train station) the plains taking off/landing every 5-10MINUTES 24/7, or congestive traffic in and out of the city at peak times, or lack of street parking - then this area has A LOT going for it for you... major grocery stores within walking distance, along with nice cafes/restaurants, decent shopping precincts close by, or the city and any sort of night life is not that far of a drive or Uber. Not to mention the proximity to major Motorways for access to any of the coast lines, but also an abundance of parks close by if you want an active lifestyle without driving.

I’ve lived here a year, close to Cannon Hill station however, and never grew accustomed to the noise, it would have to be the biggest lose-out. I have lived near train and bus stations before and grown to ignore the racket, so I have to wonder if it’s the freight trains and airplane noise that’s made it the worst year of sleep of my life but, I’m aware I chose that so wore it. And if your trying to sleep a toddler during the day, when the noise is more frequent. I am glad I rented here and didn’t buy not knowing though...

I hope this review helps anyone before they make such a commitment though, cas I have known others who have had to sell after the realisation.

"One of Brisbane's best kept secrets"

Cannon Hill is a great emerging suburb of Brisbane. Well located with cafes and convenience shopping everything is on the door step of this suburb. With great schools such as CHAC (Cannon Hill Anglican College) & St. Oliver Plunkett, it is an ideal suburb for young and growing families. With easy access to Brisbane city and the Gateway motorway you have the best of both worlds. Public transport is also easily accessible.

From a real estate perspective, Cannon Hill provides value for money with a mix of new and old homes, in a price range that is attractive to families. With good capital growth predicted over the coming years Cannon Hill has become popular with interstate investors looking to purchase inner city homes without the Sydney and Melbourne price tags.

"Friendly Hub close to everything"

Cannon Hill is like a country town just outside a city. We have a lovely friendly community.
It is close to everything including the city, airport, shops, schools a lovely bush walk.
The East Village has started construction. It will just add the cream on what already is a lovely suburb.
We are also just down the road from the newly renovated Carindale Shopping Centre.
